Warwick, Vice Chairman of Related Companies, for their unwavering dedication to students and steadfast support of education.  HEAF is an eleven-year college access and success program for underserved minority youth in New York City with an unparalleled impact; 100% of HEAF’s high school seniors graduate from high school on time and gain admissions to college, more than 80% earn bachelor’s degrees in six years, and 35% continue to earn advanced degrees.

HEAF Celebrates New Space with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Hundreds of our donors, friends and supporters gathered at the HEAF headquarters to celebrate the completion of our newly renovated space, officially opening them with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 29th. The Green Tree Mall in Clarksville is celebrating the completion of a major makeover. Renovations included a brand new, modernized facility with additional classroom space, updated technology and a new student lounge.

HEAF Graduate Shay Stinson Featured in the Harlem Times

August 10, 2015
Brownsville native Shay Stinson, one of HEAF’s earliest alumni was featured in the August edition of The Harlem Times. Stinson, who credits HEAF for a great deal of her success, is now a Major in the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and preparing to attend the Army’s Command and General Staff School in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Time Warner Cable helps fund STEM at HEAF

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF) was recently awarded a $10,000 grant through Time Warner Cable’s Connect a Million Minds initiative. HEAF used awarded funds to enhance and continue its STEM and Digital Literacy programming, which ran from July 2015 through June 2016 and served a total of 215 middle school students.

Harlem Educational Activities Fund Receives STEM Funding from Time Warner Cable

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF) was awarded a $5,000 grant in 2014 through Time Warner Cable’s Connect a Million Minds initiative. HEAF used awarded funds to enhance and continue its Science of Smart Cities program, which ran from October 2014 through May 2015 and served a total of 20 7th and 8th grade students.
