Summer Quest is a five-week summer enrichment program for middle school students that builds upon and extends skills, habits and attitudes cultivated during the school year. For HEAF’s rising 9th grade students, Summer Quest culminates in a week-long High School Boot Camp, the objective of which is to help students cope with challenges and pressures that are specific to first year high school students. Mornings are devoted to English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics studies as well as preparation for the New York City Specialized High School Acceptance Test. Afternoons are devoted to a broad range of experiential electives.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to market your own restaurant – or even your own invention? Or maybe you’ve got an eye for design, and envision yourself designing a dress – or even a roller coaster! Learn more about our exciting elective courses here.
Our goal is to ignite intellectual curiosity, cultivate academic development and most importantly – keep learning fun for our students. Youth are naturally curious, and we aim to cultivate their natural appetite for knowledge during the summer months.

- Provide enrichment to address opportunity gaps and increase student exposure.
