During the month of March, HEAF honored and acknowledged the unique experience of being female today.  Our Women’s History Month events and programs provided students with the opportunity to reflect on female leaders and role models from their own lives, and lessons learned from these incredible women, as well as the chance to connect with women who are superheroes in their lives and industries.

Women Who Wow

March 1, 2021 — March 31, 2021

We invited our students to celebrate and thank a woman in their lives who has inspired, helped, supported, or mentored them. Our students nominated this individual for our Women Who WOW Campaign.

Career Conversations: Women in STEM

March 23, 2021

Our students heard about the experience of women who are navigating careers in STEM. They learned about their successes and challenges and heard  their hopes and dreams for the next generation of women in STEM. Our students also got to ask questions and learned how they can be successful in STEM fields.

Let Her Lead: Empower. Connect. Celebrate.

Our culminating event honored and acknowledge the unique experience of being female today and was an opportunity for our young women to connect with female role models and leaders and engage in authentic discussion. As our young women are growing and developing personally and professionally, it is important to engage them in shared experiences, and narratives of women who have overcome barriers and continue to achieve success while dealing with the struggles of life.
