Summer Quest 2021

HEAF’s Summer Quest 2021 was back with a hybrid model this summer! Summer Quest took place July 6 – August 6, Monday through Thursday, from 9 AM to 3 PM. HEAF students enjoyed an amazing array of academic and elective courses virtually, along with weekly active learning trips and walking tours around NYC!

High Expectations Middle School Program

During Summer Quest, middle school students in grades 6 – 8 will receive instruction in Humanities each morning, followed by SHSAT prep, ELA, electives, and youth development courses in the afternoons. We have an exciting line-up of electives including:

  • Art
  • Coding
  • Nutrition
  • Shark Tank
  • Theatre
  • Vet Science

Industry Immersion Series High School Program

Our Industry Immersion Program will focus on career exploration and virtual internships, in addition to electives and youth development courses. Students will engage in a virtual industry-specific learning experience where they will gain knowledge and skills pertaining to a specific career field.

Students will also attend virtual Career Development workshops designed to help students develop professional skills and prepare for college and career success. High school seniors will also prepare for the SAT and college applications by strengthening their personal statements, building a list of “best-fit” colleges, and exploring a diverse set of colleges.

College Quest Transition to High School Program

Rising 9th graders will participate in our Transition to High School program – a series of workshops designed to equip students with the academic skills necessary for success in high school.

Onward College Program

HEAF’S Onward Dream Big Summit is a 4-week long series of virtual workshops designed to prepare college students for success throughout college and entry into the professional world. See below all of our workshops for summer 2021!
